The Genesis GV80 SUV is the latest luxury offering to join the Dubai Police fleet that boasts some of the most exotic cars from Lamborghini, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Bugatti and others.
Genesis is the luxury arm of South Korean automaker Hyundai, and the GV80 joined the brand’s stable last year. The luxury SUV is now a part of the Dubai Police General Command and comes wrapped in the signature white and green colours.
Speaking on the inclusion of the Genesis GV80 to the Dubai Police fleet, Suliman ALZaben, director of Genesis UAE, said, “We take pride in partnering with Dubai Police in various initiatives that aim at spreading awareness among all segments of society on traffic safety. We hope that the high-tech Genesis GV80 contributes to facilitate Dubai Police’s operations and provide various services to the public.”
Power on the Genesis GV80 comes from either a 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that develops 300 bhp or a 3.5-litre V6 that belts out 375 bhp. While the GV80 may not be as powerful as some of the cars there, it definitely will keep the officials comfortable during patrolling.
