The six picked sites, other than the two in Madhya Pradesh, are Riverfront in the historic city of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, serial nomination of Maratha military architecture in Maharashtra, Hire Benkal, Magalighic site, Karnataka and Temples of Kanchipuram.
